Johnny Depp in overspending saga - poor love!

It’s hard to feel sorry for a multi-million pound movie star who owns several lavish homes and luxury yachts, but that’s exactly what the mad world of celebrity wants us to feel for troubled movie star and newly divorced Johnny Depp.

We have known for some time that he is a little bit unstable. There was all the shenanigans with his dogs being in Australia when they shouldn’t have been (don’t ask!) and then pictures showing him on various nights out looking a little bit odd and saying rather strange things which all seem to show that he isn’t all there. He’s always been a strange character but right now, something just isn’t right. This tallies up with reports this week that highlight the plight the actor is in with regards money.

Former managers are furious that the star has got to this point and are even more disheartened by the fact the world-famous actor is suing them for apparently not looking after his financial interests and assets competently. He is now looking into getting some form of compensation around the $20million mark. This hasn’t gone down well with these former managers though, and they have now turned the tables on Johnny boy and are looking themselves to get some answers to his behaviour.

According to the management company who is suing him, he received multiple warnings about managing his finances better and reigning in his spending. He owns multiple estates and splurges thousands of dollars a month on art and wines…

So, we’ve established that he’s a spoilt brat – but aren’t they all; the mega rich Hollywood A listers. Yes he’s splurging all this money a month but is it really denting the accounts of one of the world’s best known actors? He’s probably worth hundreds of millions of pounds anyway and all he has to do is write a book or something and he will probably retrieve all the money back.

On the flip side of the coin though, The Management Firm, that Depp is suing, has also come under some scrutiny for how it let the actor get so deep before something was done about the way his finances were heading.

Depp says that the company is accountable for a $6million tax bill and also holds the firm responsible for one of his residences in LA going into closure and believes that the company also cost him $40million. The firm has said this is ludicrous and say that it is Depp’s ‘selfish and reckless’ goings on that have brought about the situation.

At the end of the day, he is going to be spoilt and reckless, he’s got an eye watering amount of money and of course he’s going to splurge – which celebrities do you know that are reserved with their money? Exactly, none.

I suppose this story just serves to make us feel a bit better. It’s always nice to know that multi million pound actors can suffer the same misfortune as we do – overspending. Of course, it’s not on the same scale, but ultimately, it will get him in the same kind of trouble. See, these barmy actors are not so distanced from the real world after all….

Good luck Johnny, we think you’ll need it!
